Tech Talk Last Night

April 26, 2007 | By Joel Dehlin | 2 Comments

We had another tech talk last night in Mountain View, CA. About 30 or so people registered–almost 40 showed up. We had folks from:

  • Cisco
  • Ebay
  • Dreamworks
  • Oracle
  • LinkedIn
  • Barclays
  • The State of California
  • Sun Microsystems
  • Sprint

It was great fun to meet LDS technologists (and some non-LDS ones) and talk about the Church and technology.

Thanks to all those who came, especially those who drove down all the way from Sacramento!!

I attended last night and really enjoyed hearing about the Church’s IT department. I brought one of my colleagues from work and we both were impressed by the various challenges and solutions that are being used. I look forward to monitoring and participating at beta.tech.lds.org. Please keep up the good work and keep us updated on your progress!

Any chance of putting some video up of these talks, maybe for registered forum members only, for the time being? Something one could access with forum user & password for example.

Its the only way that I’d ever get to see LDS tech talk!

[Joel: We’re looking at the possibility. Thanks.]
