Look at what e-bay does when you upload an auction picture that is too large, it auto-resizes it FOR you to the appropriate size/ width dimensions. The site simply says: "too large" or even worse, displays no message at all?

The website picture directory needs to be able to upload a picture greater than 135 x 180.

If the church is supposed to be about families how can you see an entire family of 8-10 people and still distinguish their faces with 135 x 180 pixels?

Higher resolution, or even limiting the picture by filesize would be fine. Even 50Kb per picture would be MUCH better than this artificial size limit

I would be happy with a synch between the ward computers and the church website. If someone adds an email address, for example, in MLS system, it doesn't get updated on the website and vice versa.

There needs to be a way to put in more than one email address per person in MLS (like the website)

I would love to see the LDS digital scriptures more usable. I have numerous notes that I would like to transfer to my digital scriptures next to the appropriate verse, not on a separate page. It would be wonderful if you could also do this in the TG, BD and Index where I also have many handwritten notes. I don't expect to just transfer my scrawls. I am more than willing to re-type everything. I would also like to highlight or underline in different colors.
This needs to be available on a regular PC, not just PDA's.

Calendar need to be improved greatly. I would like the E-mail reminders that get sent out for events to include all the details of the event. Not just the title and a message to go see the website for more information. Calendar also needs an option to filter based on ward or stake or churchwide events. The ability for nonmembers to view and recieve event reminders from the calendar is needed also.

As a ward mission leader, I know that many of our members would benefit from a section dedicated to Member Missionary Work.
I'm not entriely sure of the content, but it could include such things as:
1) Links to talks from the Ensign/Conference on the subject
2) A Members Guide to Preach My Gospel- what parts are particularly important to members.
2) How to's
-Initiate Gospel Discussions
-Bear testimony- without it sounding like testimony meeting
3) Success Section- allow members to submit what works and any success stories they may have had for editing and approval. If approved these will be published here.
Thanks for asking.

Please can you tell us when we will get Stake and Ward websites in the UK/Europe/Rest of the World. We have waited years...perhaps an explanation of the reason why and some timescales.

The most useful feature as a priesthood leader would be to add secure meeting capability (Webex-like) functionality so meetings could be held among ward leadership without the need to travel. This would save a great deal of time and money.

Just a quick question on other websites--I know at one time, we were asked not to have ward/stake websites and to only use the church website. I see many websites and especially 'Blogs" out there. Are they ok to do specifically looking at doing an Emergency Preparedness for our area. I would appreciate any thoughts Thanks

Doing well:
All the content (church texts, conference, etc) in many different formats and languages. We attend a foreign language ward where are meetings are held in English and Japanese. Having reference materials readily available in both languages is wonderful!

Could use improvement:
1) APIs for the stake and ward websites. I want to use them so much, but find it very cumbersome to correlate my calendars, contact info, etc, with the stake and ward calendars and member lists.

2) I would love to contribute to development of church applications, especially stake and ward websites. Provide the ability for contributions from the community like open source projects do.

3) Data changed in MLS should be reflected on the ward website and vice versa.

4) More emailing notification options with the stake and ward websites. Allow ward administrators to add or at least delete addresses. I get back a half dozen "not a valid user" emails when I add an event and check to send out an email notification. It would be nice if the notifications could be scheduled to be sent, so they go out the day before or the week before an event. Allow individual email addresses, rather than 1 per family.

5) Foreign language scriptures.
