Where I live in American Samoa the video feeds through BYU TV are very good quality except for when General Conference is going on. What I used to do is to wait until a few hours after General Conference and the use the Move player feature to pick a date & time to watch the video archives. This past General Conference I was able to watch General Conference live on my PC the only issue I had was the audio and video were out of sync(the video lagged behind the audio) a little disconcerting especially if you're a good lip reader. The local cable TV company here broadcasts the Priesthood Session I think it's because the only way for the cable company to get a BYU TV feed is through the same satellite feed that serves our Stake Centers in American Samoa so the cable company just broadcasts whatever comes through this feed. The cable company doesn't serve the part of the island where I live so I use my PC to watch General Conference at home with a 384kbps DSL line and go to our Stake Center to watch the Priesthood Session. BTW we are 5 hours behind UT time so the AM sessions of General Conference begin at 5AM Samoa Standard time.

Laurence,
I did just what you talked about. I watched all of conference on my computer and like Jeremy said it worked fine. I'll see about a video later.

I'm not going to do a video blog, but I will say that I was really impressed with the stability of the feed through byu.tv this time around. Every other time we've attempted to watch conference we've had minor problems, but this time it ran smooth for every session.

Keep up the good work.

The satellite feed was wonderful. I believe we need to expand video feed to PC's so that more people may enjoy conference. If the Priesthood session could be viewed ( with security ) people would not have to travel so far to wards or branch office buildings. This would be especially good for those that have PC's that have to drive hundred's of miles to and from meetings houses.

Your doing a great job, keep up the good work. Laurence.
